2010 is a big election year for all Georgians!  Here is the list of statewide positions up for election this year, as well as races for US and State of Georgia congressional seats that directly affect Cherokee County residents.  In several statewide races, the incumbents have left their current seats in order to run for other positions; the incumbents listed are limited to those who presently hold US or state congressional seats.

Where you see the position shown in bold and “**” at the end of the listing, it means that the individual who is elected to this position directly represents some or all of our Avery families:
